Fiverr Review 2021 — Become a Seller on Fiverr — Very Good Experience Indeed!

Fiverr

To fully understand the Fiverr experience, we wanted to see what it was like selling on Fiverr. So, in November we established a free account (all the accounts are free to establish).

Two days after our first gig was posted, we had a sale, and we have to say, it was a very cool experience! Since then we’ve actually filled 36 orders and have earned money and have moved up to be a preferred “#1 Provider.” Now we don’t plan on making Fiverr a significant form of income, but it is a valid platform for further network marketing possibilities.

Selling on Fiverr — What Would You Do For $4?

While the seller spends $5 per basic gig, when you are a seller on Fiverr, you only make $4 of that. Fiverr takes 20% right off the top, so you are actually working for $4 per gig. OK, so why would you want to try and earn a meager $4 for doing something that might take some real effort? What if it took you 30 minutes of time to do something for $4. You are doing something that may not even qualify as minimum wage.

Plus, how in the heck do you get found in that massive database, especially when you, as a newbie, have to be chosen out of the vast army of fellow “Fiverr-it’s” looking to beat you out for that modest $4 (or less)?

Well, it’s not as bleak as all of that. Fiverr has a vast forum and many blogs through their customer service department on how to get noticed, and move up in the ranks. Remember, your average gig after you are established could be significantly more than just $5. In our case, as we went up in the rankings, we now have additional “gigs” we can offer up to $40 per gig. That is a real opportunity to make some money.

However, the most important angle of Fiverr (in our humble opinion) is there is also the possibility you can meet someone in another business that creates alliances outside of Fiverr that you may never have encountered. Those connections are worth a LOT. We’ve made some of those connections and for that point alone, our Fiverr experience as a seller has been well worth the effort.

Signing up to be a Fiverr seller is easy (and free) to do and getting your gig in place will take some thought — there is limited space for a title and you need to be good at keyword tags. Here is where your writing skills will help you out.

Fiverr Selling Success Is About Copy-Writing Skills and Tags As with network marketing, your skills at copywriting are imperative. You have 1,200 words to describe what you’ll do for your Fiverr gig, and that is not a lot of words. Your Fiverr title needs to be exact and on the mark. You’ll also be given the ability to attach tags to your Fiverr gig, and once again, be exacting in your use of keywords so you can be found.

You have the option of using a video of up to 60 seconds, and this is imperative for success. Fiverr states that you increase your odds of selling something by 220% by using an “introductory video”. We don’t know how they computed that statistic, but we are in agreement that videos can offer an insight into a prospective Fiverr buyer that words and an image cannot do. If you do decide to sell on Fiverr, USE A VIDEO as part of your gig!

One frustrating aspect of creating a title for your gig is Fiverr says you have 80 spaces to work with, and that is not really true. Their system will not allow a title past 50 spaces. Fiverr is trying to keep the titles from being overwhelming and with the number of Fiverr members advertising, the sheer size of long titles would be unwieldy and cumbersome on the results. In this way, we’ll give the benefit of the doubt to Fiverr who is trying to assist you as a Fiverr member to be succinct.

We get the point — tell visitors what they’ll get and grab their attention. While we wanted more in our Fiverr title, we had to hone our thinking to be very focused on what we said, and in the end, keeping our headline short is probably in everyone’s best interest.

As we stated, we view the Fiverr selling experience as a sort of experiment to see how it works, but the connections you can make are worth the effort, and we view any income we make to be a bonus. We take the view here:

Your experience as a Fiverr seller should be with a wider long-range goal in mind. As a network marketing entrepreneur, by experiencing how Fiverr works on the selling side you can expose your skill sets to new people you have never met and isn’t that what network marketing and making money online are all about? Future alliances from meeting new people can bring synergy to your network marketing business.

So, how much can you make on Fiverr? The “secret” as with network marketing is no secret: Hard work, correct use of copy-writing skills, and persistence to know what to do.

As you sell on Fiverr and get more gigs, you’ll move up in volume. Every time you increase your sales, you achieve new levels in Fiverr, with additional benefits.

Here is a summary of the levels from the Fiverr site:

Conclusions About Fiverr

We are in an exciting time on the Internet. The fact that a site like Fiverr can exist and be as big as it is in only 4 short years is pretty astounding. But then, today’s global economy is only going to get larger as the technology to expand keeps moving at the speed of thought and the ability to move faster keeps accelerating.

What else is out there like Fiverr? There are sites popping up that are in that $5 range, and others that have different price points and structure. Here are five such sites:

GigBucks — The biggest selling point GigBucks has over Fiverr is that gigs can be priced between the range of $5 to $50. Sellers also have the option of getting paid via Payza and credit cards. Like Fiverr, joining is absolutely free, and you can post as many gigs as you want.

SeoclerksSeoclerks is a large and busy platform for all things related to SEO and Internet Marketing. If you are looking to buy or sell in this niche, it is a great Fiverr alternative and it may even be a better option for you than Fiverr. Not only does the site get a ton of traffic, but it also allows the widest range of money you can ask for your gigs, from $1 to $999. Payments are made via PayPal, Payee, and Alertpay/Payza.

Taskarmy — Taskarmy may not be as popular as some of the other micro jobs sites, but they try to avoid the bidding wars and poor work quality that is so prevalent on Fiverr and its alternatives. All sellers are screened and manually approved before they can be listed and they are encouraged to list competitive, yet more realistic prices for their services. There is a certain sense of order and professionalism on this site, and it’s definitely something to check out for both buyers and sellers.

Zeerk — The best part about Zeerk is that you can charge anywhere from $2 to $100 per gig. There is also no commission and no fees. Sellers are paid through PayPal and Alertpay/Payza directly by the buyer.

Fourerr — Fourerr is very similar to the new Fiverr in both the look and feel. But, as the name suggests, gigs start at $4. Sellers also have the ability to add gig extras for various small amounts, and there is a rating system as well. The only real reason to try out Fourerr is that it is a pretty popular platform. So, if you want to expand your reach, this is the only one of the Fiverr clones that may be worth checking out.

Set-up your selling gigs on Fiverr or some of theses alternatives but always offer value and follow through and you too can be successful in this arena
